Triple B Cattle Ranch

About Our Ranch

Triple B Ranch is a humble yet beautiful property nestled in the rolling hills of Upshur County, in East Texas.  The ranch offers a healthy life to its resident cattle, with incredible rolling pastures (no pesticides), scattered hardwood timber, several ponds and creeks, and an excellent balance of ranching and recreational attributes.  The ranch is perfectly suited for its healthy and happy Japanese Wagyu herd, thanks to its fertile pastures, abundant water, and clean uncrowded feedlots.

The ranch draws on its Japan experienced owners, Yumi & Clark. Yumi comes from a Kobe area (Hyogo Prefecture) agricultural family of Japan, and Clark leverages his 12 years experience living in Japan (in Tokyo and Yokohama), as well as his lifetime visiting friends and family in Spain, where he grew up with relatives active in the cattle business. His two Spanish cousins raise cows, one specializes in raising prized bulls, to be used in bullfights, the other raises Limousin cattle.

Clark was first inspired to raise cattle after meeting Jose Gordon at his ranch in Leon, Spain, El Capricho, and saw firsthand how he raises his cows, "When you mistreat something in some way, you will eat that abuse."

Our Wagyu

Traditional Japanese Wagyu

Triple B has been developing our fullblood Wagyu herd, with American Wagyu Association (AWA) registered cows, following the traditions of Japan. We also raise "American Wagyu", by crossing our fullblood with Angus. We are proud of our accomplishments to date blending our Japan backgrounds with East Texas ranching.

Triple B raises the following:
100% Wagyu (registered fullblood)
75% Wagyu (F2)
50% Wagyu (F1)

We are a small operation focused on the highest of quality. Our mama cows are like family, all have names and are extremely docile and friendly. Our resident bull, named "Azabu", is an AWA registered Sugisu. In addition to Azabu, we also utilize insemination to constantly upgrade the genetics of our herd. We follow the Japanese tradition of playing calming music to all of our feedlots, to help reduce stress, but unlike Japan's use of classical music, at Triple B we prefer happy soothing country music.

Our ranch raised cows have zero hormones, raised on natural pastures with no pesticides.  We bring all of our harvested steer to 36 months of age, with no less than 10 months on grain, after their first two-years on free range pastures..
